This fix is for people who can't get their task manager or regesestry to open and have exausted all other means to fix the problem. This will temporarily corrupt the regestry in which we will fix.
First you need to download two programs; Dr. Web Virus Scanner and exefix08.zip. Once they are downloaded open Dr. Web, do the install, and do a virus scan. There are two file we are looking for, win32.HLLM.spybot and win32.HLLM.Yaha.5. These are the root of your problem. But to get rid of them we must delete some much needed files. These files are, NYCUOHI.exe, wintask32.exe, and exeloader.exe. If you tell Dr. Web to just fix the problem it will come back with an error and say that they are system files and such. But unfortunetly we have to delete them anyway. So manually delete the files with Dr. Web. If you try and open any exe file you will get an error almost immediatly, this is because we don't have exeloader.exe anymore. The other files come up with other errors that i'm not going to get into.
Now that we have our infected files deleted what do we do now? Unzip exefix08.zip is what we are going to do. So once thats unzipped run the file and reboot. After the reboot you will find that some programs don't work anymore. Just re-install them and save yourself the hassle of trying to troubleshoot it. What happened was by deleting our three files above we screwed the regestry pretty bad, but with our fix program we got them back and uninfected. This comes at the cost of having to re-install some other software on your computer, but hey you can open your task manager and regestry now. This is a good trade in my opinion. Especially if you put off fixing the problem when if first happened like i did for more than thirty days. This is how far back you can restore your computer. I'm not sure but if you do a restore on your computer you may or may not still have the worm. Your guess is as good as mine. One thing is for sure though. With this fix, you can open your regestry and task manager again. Good luck with the fix.
